The betting odds are completely irrelevant right now. What are they speculating on, exactly? Kenwright's psychology?

There's a decent chance several agents have been sounded out over their clients' willingness but there's no chance any serious decisions have been made by the board.

It's a funny one for Kenwright. He's a sentimental shmuck at heart (what did he suggest for the King's Dock, something like "Goodison-by-the-waterside"?), so he probably wells up at the idea of a Duncan-Kendall-Southall-Sheedy dream team, but he'll be savvy enough to know (and so will Green et al) that the only way this little thirteen-year adventure of his can pay off (or pay out) is if he makes a very good choice. I imagine that will mean a measured, considered and slightly safe choice. Certainly nobody who has a significant failure on their CV like Hughes or O'Neill, nor anyone with zero experience (Neville, D.Ferguson).

Martinez, Laudrup, Clarke, Pereira - I don't think he'll be looking much further.

God I wish you´re right.

A ton of bets on Mackay this morning have made him 3rd favourite now, and Lennon is still the favourite after all these bets from N. Ireland!

bbc gossip column taking an article from the star or some crappy newspaper like that saying he's top of our wish list is probably why he's shot up.

Laudrup will cost about 10 million in compensation. His agent says he likes living in South Wales. Also, if Laudrup does well at Everton, Real or Barc will come in and take him away in a few years. We may become a feed for managers for the top 4 richest clubs - not good. So he maybe out of the reckoning. Martinez will also cost in compensation. The worse case is Lennon. He will also bring by association religious bigotry to the club, so a must avoid man. He is also a carrot top

His experience of management consist of coming 1st in a one horse race and coming 2nd in a two horse race. Hardly inspirational is it?

He's not even the most successful 'Lennon' in Scotland this year yet.

Ignore Lennon, take John Park from Celtic instead.

Watch this video, tell me this man fits in at our club. What a way to tarnish our reputation.

Neil Lennon is absolutely brilliant. Yes I'm a Celtic fan and would always love the way he's stood up for himself against the worst possible sectarian sh*t. He's a winner and has passion in abundance. In that video - do you know what that rat El Hadj Diouf did/said? Likewise McCoist? And who won that day anyway?

As Everton are being patted round the media as United's lapdog this is exactly the character we want to show some fightback.

Or maybe you'd prefer Captain Neville and his sort? Try reading the link below and not wanting to scream.

He's an absolute embarrassment, I'd thoroughly enjoy him try his 'mind games' in a league that people actually watch on telly.
