He sold him with the option for €2mil.

I quite liked him but 99% of posters thought he should be given away.

We robbed Spurs and Villa in the not too distant past. Great deals for Richy and Onana.
Aside from then we just love to chuck money away, or into brown envelopes anyway.

Can't remember where I heard about it, but Moyes had a basic system using a series of whiteboards which he used to narrow down targets based on position, analyst feedback, meeting with them/their agents etc... Some would say "shrewd" some would say "dithering", as rumours that we also missed out on a few during his tenure. Not sure his methods work with the modern day Directors of Football - but agree it was good at the time for us.

Am trying to remember where I read about that as well but it talked "glowingly" about Moyes scouting and analyses methods. I want to say it was "The Nowhere Men" by Michael Calvin. There was a chapter on it. I'll try and dig out the details....

Whatever you think of Beto he shows more in games than DCL who looks as though he’s checked out for months. Don’t blame him for wanting to leave, deserved more.

Agree, very difficult to assess any strikers true worth in this current Everton team/set up. Not sure how many games he started but the last one, man u was it, Pele in his prime may have struggled to notch. Looked to have a decent attitude and wudnt surprise if starts scoring again at a diff club. Wish him no ill.
