I know contracts run until the end of June but I think we’ll know at the end of the season. I remember Gomes on the pitch with his wife at the end of last season and it had been announced he was leaving.

We never replaced Lukaku's goals, that's effectively what people mean when they say it. Whether those goals come from one player or four is irrelevant really, as long as they come from somewhere. The number of goals we score has dropped off significantly since Lukaku left, we scored over 60 in two of the seasons he was here (and 59 in another) but have only scored over 50 once in 8 years since he left, and in the last few years have struggled to make 40. On that basis, i'd say it's perfectly fine to say we haven't ever replaced Lukaku.

Lukaku had Delefeou Mirralas Seamus Barkley and Baines supplying him with Balls. Who does Beto have so far it's been Alcarez. It's a team game and players are only as good as those around him.

9 goals in what equates to 15/16 games in terms of his minutes played slag him off or call him what you want but he’s earning his money and doing what’s asked of him however awkward he looks. Either get our money back or he goes nowhere.
