I remember Jelavic and I need more than 6 months.

Whether hes the real deal doesnt matter tho, hes played a massive part in our recent form and thats all the matters.

Long may it continue.
I ain't saying he is. I'm saying I believe he is. As I believed from the start. He has exceeded even my expectations. He has traits you can work with. The same as Lindsrtom. You just have to unlock them and get them there mentally.

I think deep down we know its a purple patch (would love to be wrong)

As you say he is a massive part as to why we are nowhere near relegation now.

There will be times like Saturday where he looked unplayable in every aspect of his game, but there will be games where ye go WTF.

What i do like about him though (As well as his world class one on one slotting) is defenders wont have an easy time, he must be a kin nightmare to play against.

Lindstrom has gone 3 seasons without a goal or an assist.

So Moyes is gonna need some key for that.
That's not my point. He is showing massive improvement on the defensive side and he is getting dangerous balls into the box and helping us get down the field. He clearly has a long way to go to prove he is worth the money, but he has massively improved. We are far better as a side since he, Garner and O'Brien came into the team. And as I said mentally you need to have them believing. That will be what decides Jesper's value. He still has to produce goals/assists

Well im judging everybody from when Moyes came in, so yes, currently he just needs to add a goal and an assist to his game.

As you say, hes doing a job for team and doing well.

his last finish honestly reminded me of R9.

Beto > R9

He's was doing that before with Dyche though, the defensive side. Having said that, yes, he needs to produce to provide value. At this point, he hasn't and really hasn't shown signs he will.

The disrespect Dyche shown to this fella, at the same time as giving DCL a God complex, is unbelievable

Said a few months back I felt Beto would be the transition striker, bridging the gap till Chermiti could take the number 9 shirt

I take that back completely, in pole position to be our next number 9 is Beto 👌

The upfront situation beyond this season is a slight worry, do Broja and Chermiti seem like the type of players to accept being second/third choice? Broja gives me Maupay vibes so far, will run his socks off for the team and act like a midfielder not a striker, Chermiti could be anything from world class to a dud. Ultimately Beto is not someone we can afford to bench in current form, and two strikers upfront hardly ever works for us

I would argue that yes they do seem like the type as so far in their careers, due to no fault of their own, they've done the square root of nothing. They are in no position to demand being first choice at a club like ours.

Can we be grateful he's getting a few goals without lauding him too much yet. DCL had a purple patch once as well.
DCL's purple patch was fantastic but let's not forget it was a case of him fitting Ancelotti's style like a glove

Dare I say Beto fits Moyes' style like a glove. DCL definitely had more of a spark about him but I'm not sure we'd be seeing a run of form quite like Beto is doing.

I actually hope we sell him if a good offer comes in. He absolutely reminds me of Jelalvic. Tho he is a much better placer of the ball than him.
