Best way to take (or not to take) kids to a game

A friend of mine has tickets in the family enclosure, she has been taking her baby in there since she was a month old and had no issues, if you can get seats in that section, then I would say go for it. If not I wouldn't take the kids. In the family enclosure you don't get swearing, aggressiveness and open drunkenness, that you will in the rest of the ground. Below is a handy link for taking your kids to Goodison for the first time

The RS call us daddy day care as well.

Soz if you're genuine like, and as others have said, don't take the 1 year old.

I’ve taken both of mine to their first game around 5 or 6 yrs old. Both were on their iPods by half time and didn’t watch the second half. Be aware that no matter where u sit no one is going to not swear because u have kids. The only places I haven’t sat with them is the Lower Bullens and Lower Gwladys and always the same but I was prepared for that. Used to get a cab from town and go back on the he bus.

Think there's swearing in family enclosure.... it's just the kids doing it ! Your 5 yr old may learn some new words....

Brought my 6 six year old to his first game last season. As previous comments, bring some sweets/jellies and you'll be fine with the older child. Charge your phone up too in the event interest wanes in the second half, hopefully not so much of an issue with the new management!
Also be wary that fixture days/times are subject to change. We got stung by this where a sunday game was changed to saturday kickoff necessitating a hotel/flight change. I would pass on bringing the 1 year old. Enjoy.

I wouldn`t take the one year old mate, as you`ll spend more time looking after the baby than watching the game.

Also the noise of the crowd may frighten him / her and you`ll end up potentially having to leave your seat for ages and find somewhere calmer, to sooth him / her.

Take the five year old, sit in the middle of the St End, breathe in Skunk fumes and be amazed at the sight of young lads, dressed like Polar Explorers, but with mad afro perms, stoned off their heads.
Plus you're only allowed to bring a 1 year old to he game if it's your intention to fight with the opposition players.

Can't wait to take my son to goodison for the first time but he's just turned two and I wouldn't do it now mainly because he doesn't give two hoots. Best letting the missus and kids entertain themselves while you go and get smashed.
