Best Away fans at Goodison

Burnley last season. We had the upper away section, so you had them going in the ground right beside where our lot that were sitting in the upper away section. Good banter between the fans going in and no sign of any hastle considering so much rested on the result that day.

AEK Athens are the ones that stick out for me in my years going the game.

Always remember Pompey fans who travelled up for a midweek night game when they were in the prem. wasn’t loads of them but they didn’t stop all game and bit of a trek for a night game that was for them

I remember the Altrincham fans having a great time in 74, when they nearly pulled off a huge 'giant killing'. I couldn't work out why most of the fans in the main stand were shouting 'Alty'. Must have been more than 10,000 of them.

I see Feyenoord have a had a mention. What I remember from the night we played them at Goodison in the Cup winners Cup in '95 was accidently getting in their fans escort to the ground then the huge fog of ganga smoke emanating from the away end all game. It was so thick I'm suprised they could even see the game

We played norwich early 80s i think,sunderlands away game got called off due to weather someware.they went in seats in the park end,brought more than norwich did on the terrace.
