Value is as an impact sub I think. Can’t take the rigors of banging bodies with big defenders for 90 minutes. Bring him on late when everyone is tired and hes running around like the back four are lampposts.
Not so sure, always liked him because he is tricky and able to beat defenders. Imagine him most effective as a no 10. However him, Richie and Gylfie showed they can combine. Leave the finer details to Carlo but I would not sell him.

Bit of a weird tweet to be honest. We win a crazy game, he scores the winner, everyone’s happy.

There’s a lot more to be done than a single result and whether the tweet came from him or his family/staff, it was a silly one to put out.

Taking a few ridiculous comments from fans like @BarryThompson1, who just indirectly called himself a bellend funnily enough, to heart isn’t worth it in this day and age.

He also had a perfect cross to Keane in front of goal who should have scored

His detractors don't even see his contributions.

My only doubt would be a team with both he and James in it at the same time, especially if we were playing a game like Newcastle or West ham as neither are very good off the ball or defensively. The abuse he gets from his own fans on here and the language such people use to describe him is just disgusting to be honest.

The thing that gets me more than anything is it so undeserved. If anyone actually watched the game against Newcastle (after which he was dropped for a long time) he didn't do badly at all! He again very almost scored a world class goal (the only shot on target in that whole half) from a corner that he himself had a big hand in winning (one of many set pieces he won for us in that first half) and was the only player in that first period to really do anything positive. Then after the game he gets scapegoated as usual.

Its as if he is invisible to his (eeeess too short) detractors who only see what they want to see (their publicly expressed opinions proved correct)! But just look how week in week out other players they have declared "need binning" are proving them wrong.

Agreed.
I’m happy to admit I was one of those to say both Bernard and Davies are two of our least effective players and part of the ‘deadwood brigade’. But I am slowly starting to change my mind.
However I can see a lot of people on here make up their minds obout a player and that’s that.
The beauty of what Carlo is doing is getting the best out of players again and I for one am prepared to eat humble pie.

...he is undoubtedly better with people like you!...would indicate it wasn't from his twitter account or at least not posted by him.
You could very well be correct although equally, he may have been referring to the world and instead of referring to 'it' referred to as 'he' which, in the main, a natural English speaker would. Anyway, the sentiments are the same.

yeah he meant it, i don’t think the ‘he’ shows that it wasn’t him. But it is possible he doesn’t do his own social media

Especially in English I dont think he even speaks English does he? I know there is translation software he could use but doubt he would leave that to chance,; anyway doubt it was him that wrote it given all these factors.
