You may be right but if it were me I'd go the other way around. I'd play Bernard on the left because we know he comes inside and dovetails well with Digne, and we really need to get Digne into positions to make those crosses to Dom.

I'd actually start Gordon on the right but it's more likely Iwobi will start as Carlo goes with experience.

If the truth be known, I think all our back up widemen are better on the left. If it were just James out I think he'd switch Richy to the right then pick one of the others.

That’s what I think Carlo will do, it’s not necessarily what i’d do. If it were me, i’d probably go Bernard left for the reasons you mention and Iwobi or Gordon right.

You’re bang on, been a problem for a while, all our widemen (except walcott and now James) want to play off the left and look most comfortable there. It really isn’t ideal, hopefully it won’t be for too long.

I think it will be Bernard left Iwobi right. I think Bernard has a bit of an understanding with Digne and I also think it will mean the right side is more physical than finesse.

An additional thing to consider is likely Godfrey is going to be RB and he isn't going to be natural on the ball at that spot.

Yeah that's why I hope they play Bernard left as it means at least one of our sides will be as it should. I think both Iwobi and Godfrey are more suited centrally so our attacking down that side will be limited but if Digne puts a cross in from the left I think Iwobi will be more suited from aerial point of view.

We were all things considered an average at best attacking side when that was our first choice left, so it still concerns me. And that side had Richarlison usually.

Depends how the midfield is set up?
It hasn't done. For me I'd go Gordon and Iwobi. Bernard has always done better of the bench where his lack of physical traits is less easily exposed. That's what I'd go for. It is the same reason I think you have to be hesitant starting Gylfi. We need him to be a factor still in that role.

Oh I thought he was still injured? That changes things tbf.

Pretty sure it said in the Ancelotti interview on the website that he was fit mate.

Whether he's thrown straight in obviously up for debate. It's a toss up because Godfrey does give us something we'd lack, but without James and Richarlison we're gonna need that extra attacking threat Kenny can offer.

Does Kenny attack much though?

When he played against Fleetwood and Salford he barely crossed the half way line
