Will he be fine come Saturday? If not what was the point of paying all that money (he was a free agent but we paid a lot for signing fee) if he needed this long to recover? Club have just confirmed it. He sustained a muscle injury in training and will be assessed tomorrow.

Gomes has suffered a set-back, will be out a further three weeks. Jags (suspended for today anyway) has done his knee cartilage - three weeks.

Gana knee strain so not risked today. Lookman groin.

Agreed mate, best thing we can do at this stage is try and get him fit for January and then cash in on him if we can find a buyer.

..from what I understand, his injury was shoulder related so I imagine he’ll have been in full physical training. He should be fit but probably wasn’t involved in playing sessions.
