Much better. There's a proper player in there. He just hasn't quite settled yet. Good today though. If we get him performing consistently, I think he's a top-6-level player.

I liked what I saw from Bernard today. Skilfull on the ball, hard working off it and never shirked a tackle.

He also made some very good and intelligent runs through the middle. There could soon be an entire discussion on his best position in the team if he continues with skill and effort like that.

Often used word these days, but on the counter he's the one who transitions it best. Ability to take the ball on the turn is as good as anyone in the league
