..every transfer carries risk. Bernard’s goalscoring record isn’t great, but just perhaps he’s been bought with a specific role in mind. That role might be to unlock the door, to put the likes of Richarlison and Wakcott in on goal.

Statistics are fine, but they don’t necessarilly reflect blend.
 
why no photos or videos of team training with the new signings from club's twitter? i am curious
 
Any player who is quick thinking, utilises space and has team mates that exploit space will be a success in the PL. Bernard is a clever player and finds space. The players around him will make him a success or failure. We just have to wait and see.

just reminds me of when city bought david silva, he's never been a great goalscorer, but is the creative spark which turned city from having a bunch of good strikers who never scored as much as they should - to top marksmen.

Bernard will be the same here, maybe less effective but his assists will heavily outweigh his goals, but away from that his all round play will see us be a hell of a lot more creative, we'll be bossing teams on the counter attack, he'll need one pass to just break open teams.

..from what is being said you are using statistics from a kiddies computer game. Not sure how accurate they are.

Chelsea were reportedly interested, as we were Arsenal and the RS.
