He wont get a game for the first team until he sorts himself out.

Been giving it the biggun since Unsworth gave him a few games last season. Him & his mates have been bouncing round FF thinking they’re the dogs b*llocks - to which he got told to knock it on the head by Silva and co. To this day, i assume he hasnt.

So he's allowed to bring his mates to finch farm with him? Dead on

He hasn't been loaned out or played for u23s so hopefully he's not injured again. He has potential at this stage but is nowhere near the standard required would be good for him to get a few games so Silva could see where he needs to improve. If he does ok a promoted club or decent level Championship side may take a chsnce him on loan to iron out these creases for us.

A 433 with McCarthy anchoring it and Bernard and Sigurdsson ahead of him would be the best permutation we could go for with our squad. Creativity in behind a new attacker could transform our season.

Probably pick up an injury as soon as he plays. He is super injured prone and is not as good as a dm than Gana.

Sell McCarthy to the highest bidder.

I know. Ideally though...
I think we'd find that the game has past him by. The holding midfield role has evolved to the point where virtually no decent teams are accommodating out-and-out destroyers that can't pick a pass anymore.

Baningime did actually look as though he knew how to look after the ball in the limited time we saw him last season. It's a shame that so few of these academy products are able to build on their early promise.

Back to basics. 1. Beni is/has been injured , just 2 U23s appearances this season so he should be making his comeback in the U23s first. 2. He’s featured in 8 PL games , starting only once so not a lot of experience yet. 3. He’s 20 and one of the few youngsters to get to the fringe of our first team without any youth/u21 international exposure, so again not a lot of exposure outside of the club e.g. compared to the likes of Kenny, Davies, Lookman , DCL etc.

As we know, Beni is primarily a DM , there’s no comparison with any other youngster in our club, maybe Markelo is closest, Adeniran has more attacking intent, so he’s well worth developing carefully as whatever formation we may have this weekend his type of player will always be useful. His attacking play is not very good and I can only recall one goal in recent years, a decent strike against Chelsea U23s in which Hazard was playing . As a player in front of a back four he could do a decent job though without too much attacking intent.
But while the talent and potential is there we just don’t know yet if he can perform regularly at the highest level. That’s the exciting bit , hopefully watching him grow and develop into a PL player.

Really thought Benny showed lots of promise and hoped he would gradually make the defensive midfield role his.

Now this season is a write-off surely the manager could give him a few starts and save the club 30-40 million.
