Think it’s the first time all season I’ve seen him beaten for pace the few times traore went at him

Godfrey showed what having pace at right back can offer us.

He played right back against Spurs and was briliant, really hope to see him there more next season

After a shakey first half he really gained confidence and found his stride after we scored and helped us drive forward. No shame in being done multiple times by Traore for turning and pace.

I want 11 players, with his confidence, leadership and attitude. Couldn’t care less if they have a sexy foreign name, key pass stats or are considered technically “good players”. I want a team made of the same stuff as Super Tim Cahill.

Shocking that one of our newest and youngest signings has to show the way, well in Ben.

Annoyingly, I don't think he's a top centre back yet, due to his lack of experience, which is why he's been caught out quite a few times this season. It's a shame as it'd be nice to have his pace in there. If you play him wide in a 3 or at full back, in positions where his pace can bail him out, or allow him to make a massive tackle, he looks fantastic. Has loads to learn yet, but he'll get there.

Norarsed about ingurland, but if waistcoat has got a whole in his arse then God Benfrey should be in that squad for the euros.

Quality again tonight - desire, energy, effort all season. Future club captain.

I wasn't that impressed with him at RB to be honest (imagine how holgate would of done against traore lol). Its not his position so can let him off. Still literally love the guy!

Had a decent game against Wolves did Ben Godfrey. Not much you can say about the lad that hasn't already been said, really. He's a solid, versatile, defender, and an excellent buy. Well done Marcel Brands.
