On the Brett Angell to Duncan Ferguson scale I'd rate him a Mike Newell.

He's a Rideout, Newell, Naismith type signing at worst IMO, at best he could really develop to be a lot better than all three.

Like a player who was highly touted when 18-19 who then goes and works his way back in his 20s to become a good solid player, it shows a lot of character.
