A brilliant ale! It's smooth and light with the sense of a session ale although the near 5% ABV packs a punch!

A big, boozy stout brewed with our tag team partners at Top Rope. A triple threat of cacao liqour, nibs and husks gives chocolate at the forefront, vanilla pods and cinnamon provide a delicate background note, and a generous amount of chipotle chillis body slams you with a soft, smoky heat.

I had one of JW Lees Harvest Ale Barrel Aged Calvados Cask 2016 last night.
Heavy hit of apple Brandy but backed with the sweetness of honey and raison. Very boozy but a lovely sipper and good example of a Barley Wine.

Nice (if slightly chilly) harbourside pint at one of my favourite Bristol hostelries, The Ostrich on Redcliffe Wharf.
What is the name of the beer?
I tried a number of Butcombe beers in Bournemouth a few weeks back.
Its their Chris-Moose seasonal. Nice enough but I can take or leave a lot their ale to be honest.
Still hard to top for a choccy stout.
Very tidy peanut butter stout from London's Hamerton Brewery, big flavours for a comparatively low ABV.
