Really impressed with some of the beers we've had from that box. We've decided to take them up on an offer they gave us when she bought it, so we'll be getting a mixed box once a month.

These boxes are a great idea. I actually won a 12 bottle Christmas box from Eebria, some great beers in there. Few style I wouldn't have gone for by choice, but actually really enjoyed.
Yeah that's the thing, I do try new stuff all the time, but often stick to favourite styles at least if not brewery's, it's a great way of shaking up yer beer tasting.

9.7% barley wine, rich, sweet, strong. I've got a vested interest in this, but I honestly think this beer can go toe-to-toe with the Belgians.

Just had 3 lovely drafts in quick succession:
Huna red is a surprisingly hoppy/flowery red ale, very good. The XT Coffee Stout is really nice, smells like properly ground coffee but the flavour is a little more subtle and balanced.
The Electric Bear Chocolate Cherry Stout is really special. Like a black forest gateaux in a glass! 8% so I'm just neckin' a half at this point.

I got some bog standard ones as well so just taking my time drinking these.

Not normally a big fan of the stuff from Wychwood, bit this is good. Almost a cross between mild and stout. A real sipping beer, like an unleaded version of a Winter Warmer !
