The old licensee Dave was a legend, he used to go down into the cellar to change a barrel, with a glass for a sample. A few hours later he go would be found fast asleep in the armchair that was down there, having sampled too many !.

The Dispensary in Renshaw Street deserves a shout too. Great ale selection and Zoe the bar manageress deserves her own fan club !

Great Lakes Brewery produces some great stuff. Tried their Oktoberfest and it beats Sam Adams Octoberfest by a mile. They're also the ones that make that stellar Christmas Ale that's so damn hard to get your hands on unless you live in their area.

Art Brew Double IPA



Strong, well balanced IPA. Hefty malt with great hopping including the ace Nelson Sauvin. Ace with tonight's curry.
