Beer, revisited

Beers never the same when they took it over, where have we seen that before ?
I wonder how many breweries have been lost when they've been swallowed up.

Odd that it was "financially sustainable" before they got their hands on it. This has been going on ever since I can remember, the big breweries buying up, and closing, relatively small breweries.

It's not even small breweries ; Banks's closed last year and they had a major presence in the Midlands, as well as quite a few pubs in the North West. I thought capitalism in part was giving what the customer wants.

Biggest selling cask ale in the UK. I will have it if nothing better available.

It`s everywhere.

I don`t like it either, along with Greene King IPA, it`s the Carling of real ale.

But, I can`t fathom how " the best selling real ale " in the UK is not sustainable ??

Along with St Austell Tribute, everyone drinks it in the South West for starters, it`s like Fullers London Pride in London ffs.

Nice and refreshing.

The official beer of the X Files, which is on tonight on Channel Five. Can't say it was overly hoppy, I can say it was one of better porters wot I have drunk - not too sweet as so many can be.
