Pretty sure Joey Holts still use horses in Manchester, which is one of the reasons that they`re beer is quite cheap.

Brewery retires iconic horses amidst rising 'cost pressures'
Wadworth has announced the retirement of its beloved Shire horses after “cost pressures” imposed by the government.
Recent pours:
Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout (not my favorite of this style, but very good)
Leffe Blonde Ale (same note as above)
[Trader Joes's forgot name of knock off brewer] Hefeweizen (very drinkable)
Rally Cap Oatmeal Stout (good pour, interesting brews offered by this label so I'll need to try another)

I don't see how maintaining horses is any less expensive than a cheap POS Ford Transit van. Just having a dog now is ridiculous, never mind a horse, which is a completely different realm.

Had an 'old ale' last week. It's been a long time since I've seen one, and it was very tasty. I did make a note of what it was called, but, y'know...

That`s truly dreadful.
I knew they`d had a few issues last year, but I thought they`d sorted them out.
One of my favourite boozers in town and I hope they get up and running again soon.
I`m going to throw a few quid in for the staff in the meantime.

Wobbly legs this ale. Used to be on permanently at the Swan ; haven't been in there for quite while, doubt if it's changed much.
Used to be on in the Cracke as a resident too.
It was the first real ale I ever drank.
I remember being in the Cracke and my mate at the time, telling me to get as much it down my neck as I could and I’d be dancing all night
