Old Tom - lovely. Snecklifter and Crag Rat were my favourites, of course they were discontinued. lol

It was like liquid drugs lol
Sadly both Crag Rat and Snecklifter went when Carlsberg ( spits ) took over the Jennings brewery.
I used to call beers of this ilk winter warmers, is this just me ?
You do still see a few old and new brown beers labelled as winter warmers but they're not common. Sainsburys are doing one this season but it's honk.

Sad day that - you're right about Snecklifter, when it was on at my local it was usual sold out within a day. Sadly, the pub is now crap, taken over by new tenants, who put on 'events', karaoke and the like. They had Peerless on last time I was there, but it had all become a bit soulless.
