Beer, revisited

I’ve had a pint of Flagship - Jar.

It’s a really light porter and very easy to drink. While nothing special, I’d definitely recommend if you like a porter but don’t want to feel like you’ve drank a lead weight.

That is a top quality beer. I can still almost taste it a year after drinking it.

Aye, if it was bottled it might keep for beards, not sure how it works in cans though?

Last nights pick :

Pheasant Plucker 3.7% Bowland Brewery.

First time I’ve had anything from Bowland.

At really nice, proper old fashioned bitter, which despite the low strength, was really full bodied.

Reminded me very much of a well kept Tetleys cask bitter.

Aye, if it was bottled it might keep for beards, not sure how it works in cans though?

I don't think anyone really knows with the 'newer' cans as they've only been around 5 years or so maybe.

Less chance of oxidisation but the metals the can is made off might rub off and change the flavoue. I've only ever really aged bottled stuff

Good stuff Bowland ale, when I went to Colne F.C they had three different ales in bottles in the clubhouse, all very nice.

After visiting Spital today, I thought I'd have a last pint before we all die. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately the pub (The Three Stags), was populated by noisy, unruly kids with their fat mothers. It was though a very reasonable price - £2.89.

Enjoying a nice cold Grimbergen Tripel as we speak. Ah well, type.
