Beer, revisited

I know it's not 'beer', per se, however Hooper's alcoholic Dandelion & Burdock is absolutely superb stuff. Ice cold, large glass: winner.

Do feel saisons can be hit or miss, this one was a hit

Been away from England for a couple of weeks now and as good as the wine is here in Aragón, not much beats sitting in a good Liverpool pub with a pint of decent ale. My local changes its ales every couple of days but Trooper is on a lot of the time. Fine ale that is pretty strong, too. As Fergal Sharkey didn't once sing, a good pint is hard to find (near Goodison).

This week I have mostly been drinking Yardbird......Greene King Fine IPA .....only 4.2% but tastier than a pig in a blanket roasted on an open fire by Cheryl Cole Fernandez whatshername

since being back in the US, have now visited four craft breweries in the Phoenix area, Beer Research Institute, OSHO, Desert Eagle, and The Perch. (easily my fave, great beer and food above & beyond the normal brewery pub fare... Duck reuben anyone?)

next up? meeting some friends for AZ Wilderness.

Only tried a couple of saisons, but I liked them. Need to give the Buxton stuff a good try too.

Really like Buxton, they're consistently good. Recommend one of their ipa's called axe edge.

The majority of saisons are good, just now and again you get the odd watery insipid one. All down to individual taste as ever.
