They have a great selection at the moment in the Bow Legged Beagle in New Brighton for anyone that finds themselves round those parts. They're all good, but I particularly liked Engine Vein (Cheshire Brewhouse), which I definitely had one too many of on Friday.

They've opened up a teeny weeny pub in Upton (was a bank), which is very convenient and happy for me as it's a desert for decent ale. Very well kept beers as well.
All the Titanic stuff is excellent Pete, but the Plum Porter is the one with all the awards ( and rightly so )

Looks like I can get the 22 bus there from the end of my road, might walk there and bus it back.
My favorite daily drinking beer is Camden Hells--a very basic but well done lager, which is on top at quite a few London locations these days. Also, tried some nice microbreweries in Shoreditch and Bermondsey: Mikkeller and Cloudwater; both were pretty good.

Beautiful stuff, zesty and refreshing, without being over hopped.
Tastes a lot like one of my favourite Summer tipples - Summer Lightning.
Tried this yesterday when I was in Cleveland. Decent Belgian, fruity and dry. One glass for the “beer” one glass for the “yeasty beer”
