Player Valuation: £35m
Another one, along with Faddy and Davies, who didn't feel they got a fair shake here:

"I've enjoyed this year, with what happened at Everton, where I wasn't being treated very well," Beattie told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"The managers that have been here have treated me very well and with respect, which is all I ever ask."

Of course, scoring some goals regularly like he is now doing might have made a difference?

Good for him, we are 5th in the Premier League pushing the CL and he is mid-table the championship. Seems like he has found his level.

hes a good striker, it just didnt work out for him at everton, send him to another premiership club (which he might to in the summer) and he'll probably score alot of goals...

It just didnt work out for beattie or Everton.

pity he doesn't read these forums where we all seem to be of the opinion that it just didnt work out for him, not critical of him, we could have said good riddance, waste of space , didn't pull his weight etc. i'm disappointed that he's done this from his lofty new position.
look forward to the v.d.m. slagging of efc

Learning to control the ball (as well as his mouth) might help. Then he'd have the confidence to do something with it if and when he had it at his feet for more than a fleeting half-second. Perhaps his lamentable record away from Goodison spoke volumes for this double problem - limited ability, feck all ball control skills:

58 starts and 28 substitute appearances for 15 goals was no great return for a £6M price-tag (at the time quite a lot).

2 goals in 04-05 (half-season) - (having just arrived) - inadequate - not forgetting the stupid sending-off v Chavski.
2 goals in 06-07 (full-season) - both penalties

only 11 goals from open play in 86 appearances - not great!
only 2 goals away from home in an Everton shirt (against distinctly poor Southampton and West Ham) - not great!

I'll leave you all to make your own minds up.

Moyes did say that he should get picked up for England when he had a decent run of form for a couple months 2 years ago. What's he talking about?

Yeah i hate being negected and disrespected to the tune of 45.000k a week!

Always liked Beats but i hate when players feel the need for a jibe at all clubs, where responsibility partly rests with the player(n)

Oh, Beattie what the hell are you talking about, you weren't being treated nice while you were here, ask yourself how much faith Moyes has in you while you were here, even though you haven't been scoring any goals for ages he still pick you.

What more do you want? You were not doing your job as a striker and yet you are being paid good money.

I am sorry mate you just ain't good enough for Premier League football any more, want to prove us wrong get back to Premier League with Sheffield Unite and do well in our league first.

i agree that beattie was given ample opportunity. he is just covering his back.

i think he will transfer to a pl team in the summer mind.

look at the teams he's playes for.

Blackburn - he was [Poor language removed]

soulthampton - was decent

Everton - really [Poor language removed]

So as been said before he's found his mark, [Poor language removed] team [Poor language removed] leauge. If he go's to a prem team next season, he'll be over shadowed by half decent players again.

Easy to have a dig when your away.

You should havr tried to put more effort into your performances when here. Instead of scoring a pen an putting your ear to the gwladys street.

[Poor language removed].
