Only thing going easy on Rooney is his mouth. Must be because he has a big resonansebox where all other persons on earth have a brain.

Seriously though. Rooney leaving might have been a blessing in disguise. After he left the club improved mightily. What irritates me the most, and the simple fact that will never make me forgive him, is that instead of showing his love for his boyhood club, he takes every opportunity to show disrespect and loathing at it.

Regarding the youngsters coming through.. No, I don't think our team should be feeling safe from them, but at the striker position we have a very strong lineup.. All strikers we have in our first squad are good ones... even though AJ goes through a dryspell. Our midfield and defence are weaker and more vulnerable to injuries and bans. A good midfielder or defender coming through our ranks will have a bigger chance of getting into the squad since we need cover on those positions more.

There is an pooint to all of this, shouldn't Moyes ensure that these kids are given a taste of first team action sooner rather than later. It may help kids to stay or at least increase any market value if they end up wanting out. One other thing, Dunford has gone, he was the spy in the camp who asisted in the Rooney deal
