Sentiment right now might be the lowest it's been but let's not pretend that the collective option hasn't always been that he's bad. The bloke went about 15 games before ever scoring and is arguably worse on the eyes than the already bad stats

But then folk are trying to argue Beto is a genuine high grade alternative.

It was December before he registered an attempt on target wasn’t it? He’s been poor, indisputably so.

May I kindly ask for you to elaborate on this?

Beto is not very good but he tries. Barry is just not very good. Beto uses his strength to intimidate defenders, Barry would get knocked over by a stiff beeeze. Beto struggles to control the ball but sometimes wins his battles through pure grit and determination, Barry struggles to control the ball.

No brainer for me for the rest of the season, but in the long run neither of them should be first choice although I’d keep Beto as back up rather than Barry.
