Problem then is who plays RM? Furthermore I don't think Ndiaye is big enough for Moyes' love of hoofing it to the lone CF, so that means there'd have to be a seismic change in playstyle from ol' Davey. Not impossible, but improbable.

With the benefit of hindsight we should’ve met DCL’s demands then used the Barry money for two competent full backs, and the Europe push would be very much on.

At the same time this isn’t what I wanted us to do at the time and I think most didn’t so can’t be too critical.
