Barkley to go out on loan?

Offensively he's ready for the prem, but many have said defensively, tracking back, tackling etc, are lacking. Hopefully with game time the penny will drop. If it does he'll come back and be in our first team.

I think labeling Ross as 'the most exciting prospect since Rooney' hasn't helped his development. That's a lot of hype to live up to. I remember Rodwell breaking through and people calling him the new Rio but he was far from that. Ferdinand, even at a young age, had all the mental attributes that Rodwell lacks. Moving to City might actually suit him better as I think Mancini will give him a lot more freedom than Moyes ever would have.

Back to point, good move for Ross. Hopefully he has the same sort of impact Ossie & Coleman did in the Championship.

Pity its not Phil Neville going out on loan - Not Ross - our team age average is getting higher Barkley started last season so why is just a young boy all of a sudden ???? Joe Royle was raw when first played for the blues but you have to persevere if your good enough it should not matter how young you are - DM mind set I am afraid! hibbo Osman distan Nelville all aging players now - this is the time to blood Ross imo not loan him out our squad is paper thin even if we get 2 signings imo!

Don't think it will do ross any harm going out on loan.
The championship is a hard league and it will help to toughen him up and understand that he has to work hard too.
It also gives him the opportunity to hone his natural football abilities and come back a stronger athlete and hopefully a better fit to the prem.
Will miss him in the orient game tho

I was scanning through the Sheff Wed forum reading about the Barkley loan when I happened upon this little gem...weird but strangley hypnotic...
