Are Barkeley and Baxter likely to make it. I include Barkeley 'cos I trust your view must higher than the hyperbole and mania shown on here for example with Green who whilst has promise is just a kid.

With Barkley it's only a matter of time,he will be involved for a few games before the end of the season,next season that involement will increase and it will probably be another three years before he plays every week...bring him through gradually.

Baxter is different,he is old enough now,but a question mark hangs over his ability to make it in the premiership.
However three weeks ago that same question mark hung over Duffy and hecertainly now seems like a youngster that was ready for that big step up.
There is only one way to find out about Baxter and it's not as if our team last Saturday was brimming with creativity.I would like to see him him play behind the striker in an advanced midfield role.

Always wanted Baxter to make it, he just never seemed to make that final step up, the way things are with the team at the min though would he be better than whats there? i think so. WRT Barkley this kid should be playing first team every week IMO.

Now that Billy has exited stage left, Barkley should deffo make the bench on Friday. I don't think Moyes will have the balls to start him from the off given his lack of match fitness after coming back from an injury! Will there be enough room for Baxter though given that we have Saha, Cahill, Vellios, Guaye, Dennis and Anichebe already up to speed and involved in the squad recently! Tricky team selection awaits...

If hes just had a stormer in the ressies, you have to strike while iron is hot, drop Gueye for a game give Baxter a slot on the bench and possibly 20-25 mins if he can, you have to pick on form, I know Moyes doesnt but there you go.

Gueye? Seriously? Denis is sh*te, leave him out, and let some of the youngsters who have a chance of making it have their opportunities. Saha has been woeful this season. Time for Barkley / Baxter to get on the bench and bring in slowly, with Vic / Velios starting up front for the time being. Bring them on and see how they do.

I'd agree with that, in fact, I'd go as far as to say send the bleedin Argentinian back from whence he came! He's been next to useless since his arrival and it's pretty apparent that our style and pace of game over here is not his cup of tea!
