If Everton had won, we would be crowing. Fact is we were [Poor language removed] and they outplayed us. Looking at Saturdays play, are we any better than an average team?

Ive been then when we totally [Poor language removed], and when we have raised ourselves to just [Poor language removed].
In fairness my point was before the game there was quite a bit quite baffling hatred/dislike for the Toon. Can understand Man Utd, Liverpool, but dont quite see where the dislike for the toom stems from. 99% of our fans know exactly how good we are. We are at best a mid table team, and if we do go down this year or next, it doesnt faze me. Im a toon fan, so cetrainly not in it for the trophy haul our managers deliver to us to an endless basis.
Last few visits down there i have seen a canny bit bother, didnt this time. And for the game itself i think we are as good as yous were bad. I went down fully expecting 2-0, 3-1.
So basically my post was aimed at the people who were far from complimentary before the game, and indeed after. We are a big club, dont care what people say, we are certainly not a sucessfull club, and probably never will be!!
It was a good game, day and night and met a good number of canny bluenoses and for them i do wish you all the best. Proper football team, and for the geordie haters the result just made it a nice experience for once
I would love that Geordie lid that did the big bro voice-over work, to follow me around for a week commenting on what i do. That would be superb.

I'm not a Geordie hater. I think you lot are hilarious (both personally and as a football club). And generally pretty friendly as fans go, trust me you are no Man City there.
And that's a good thing!
When you come on saying shadows etc. That gets to people here as we're not in anyone's shadow we beat Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City and were unbeaten in 15 at Goodison until Saturday.
And especially considering WE ARE ALL IN SHOCK AT HOW BADLY WE'RE PLAYING AND UNDERPERFORMING (I am). It'll change. It always does - and it'll click at Everton. Then the ones doing the spouting will soon shut up.
You just got us at a time when our manager obviously hasn't sorted our squad out. So we were particularly bad. For one thing, if Lee Carsley had been here still he'd of snapped Ben Arfa instead of giving him time. And Osman would not have been playing like that at all. I'm still at a loss why he wasn't dragged off!!!!
Do think Chris Huton or however you spell it has improved you lot dramatically. You're still dodgy at the back though. But have genuine pace both wings and a target man (even with no first touch!) in the middle.
You'll stay up. Reckon midtable.
As for Everton. As Kenwright says : WATCH THIS SPACE.

Lad , I don't hate them . I used to go and watc them . In fact , I hitched , a 6 o'clock on a Boxing Day morning to Hillsborough - utterly bladdered , and regrettd it after about 3/4 of an hour ; with me mates . Charlie Spedding gave us a lift .
My kids grew up there , my Grandkids - though I'm still young and funky ; were born there - ALL BLUE btw .
You however , came on all , " Yous are [Poor language removed] , etc ,.." when in fact yous cant even live with us over the last 20 years , among the worst in our History .
Im sorry , but I buzz off all the Fat konbs taking their kit - and its ALWAYS a REAL kit - Do yous expect to get a shout one day ??? - off . I always did though .
As for your reception , my lad , a eordie speaking Blue met a bird and her Uncle - BOTH Mags , in the Red Brick Our equivalent of The Strawberry . They were fine . where did you go ??? And Ive also experienced a similar reception at the Town , FA Cup , Undies scored a corker . Yet most other times its laffin' .
The game , for us , as awful . We'll check yous when we've got a full side . A centre forward at least .
Anyway , there it is .
