A couple of years back me and a few mates took the great alex young the match. In the week of the game i bumped in to elstone at the ground and asked if he could arrange fir the stadium announcer to mention that the great man was in the box in the corner and subsequently give a wave. He said yes.

On the day of the game we were approached asking if alex could come round a few lounges etc. We said no, simply because he was on a day out with his missus and ourselves. At that point elstone couldnt be arsed coming to see us and alexs round of applause was ****ed off, despite standing in the box awaiting the announcement.

Some people just dont get it, no matter what.

Disgraceful, could they not have formally requested the match reports stop, and give their reasons, whatever they might be. Instead of wading in like the pathetic dictatorship that this club has begun.

I wont just be writing to the club, but as many press outlets as possible (unless AB or GOT have any objections), we cant just let this lie, their behaviour is an absolute disgrace.

I fail to see why though, its a person making reports on youth players, doing more than the club does for the fans, and doing something that other clubs allow...which probably let their fans actually watch the matches anyway.

Shocking treatment from the higher-ups, like. I hope this sorts itself out for you. I can deal with the club's blunders with the rebuilding of the wall, redevelopment, the annex, etc, but this is beyond the usual silly incompetence. Since I live thousands of miles from Finch Farm, I rely on your brilliant writings to follow the future of the club. The actions taken against you are regrettable, and affect more than just one grand old supporter. You're a true Evertonian, lid, and it would be wise for the club to recognise that.

We've spoke Steve so I've known about this for a while and you've went about it in the right way. Tried to sort it amicably behind the scenes.

Doing the right thing isn't too hard if you disregard the bullish*t politics obviously preventing this.

It would seem we have some out of touch people in positions they shouldn't be in.

Such a shame common sense can't prevail. You're one of the most dedicated fans I know with excellent intentions so it doesn't make sense.

This isn't how you do business with your customers, not at all.

Those match reports were well written and positive. A real great insight into the young lads coming through.

The grand lesson here is that Everton is NOT our club - that's just warm, fuzzy propaganda to keep the crowds happily turning up and buying merchandise. It's privately-owned business run by a Stalin-esque regime. The fact that Mansour was rebuffed by our Dear Leader before Man City were approached should have said enough on the matter.

I loved reading your reports and having someone close to the action makes it easier for someone like me who is so far away to keep up with all our teams. Deeply saddened by this.
