Bank Holiday Weekend

Just back from Albania and didn't realise it was a bank holiday (not that it makes much difference to us retired folk). Need to catch up in the garden dragging out forget-me-nots and weeds so I can start planting my summer plants. Other than that I intend to go out and down a beer or two in the sunshine.

Off to watch some mates playing at Southends stadium this weekend, could have played had I not been injured so will have to watch on from the stands instead and laugh when they collapse with heatstroke.

An update on this, 20 minutes in and my mates are 4-0 down, one of them is the keeper and is responsible for 3 of those goals, I don't even really drink much now but I think I'll head to the bar.

Got a new King Size bed coming in the next few hours. Flat pack, it’ll take me hours to build and the Simba mattress takes 48 hours to settle

Doing a 14 mile run tomorrow to Cartmel to get on the sesh.

Run? Class, 13 miles in the end.

35 pints in the sunshine with live music? Class.

Spewing up out of both ends all day yesterday? Horrid.

Trying to sweat it out in a gym with no aircon in 25 degree heat? Also horrid.
