Prohibiting is the opposite extreme to enforcing something and imo extremes are no good. It's a bit like saying to a woman that she must work in the name of women's liberation. Even if she doesn't want or need to

Would English women be aloud to walk around Iran (for instance) in a bikini...???
If they dont like it...!!!!
Bye,bye.....
..or I could get with the humour and agree with what he said. Dilemma's dilemma's.Ban bans. Then no-one can do anything.
You know it makes sense.
I doubt it but the situation hasn't changed in Iran. Can't really understand the comparison mate. Do you want Britain to be as hardline in its mentalty as a fundamentalist Iran is?Ban the burker.......

Let's be honest, it looks horrendous for a human being to swathed in clothes head to toe. Still, if you complain that people wearing crucifixes are stopped from doing so then you cant really then have a go at others following their customs.
True, but crucifixes don't strip women of their public identity or individuality. Dare we say the word oppress? Probably not.
I don't believe the silly Daily Mail horror stories about men dressing up in burkhas and robbing banks though. They might use one to use cleaner public toilets or something, if they were really bursting.
