Baines

He's a good player, he needs a run in the team to get his confidence up.

He's probably thinking after every game that's he going to get dropped to accomodate Jagielka/Yobo/Lescott regardless of his own form.

lescott's best pos if lb so if moyes as to let someone go to bring in players to cover uncovered possies then so be it. i don't think he has shown enough anyway for the money spent.

nuno was my motm, baines was constantly runnin round like a headless chicken, on both the wing and at LB, i would say sell him but it would be pointless as the money raised it seems wont go towards signings

I think Baines is a good attackin Def, But...But, if 6Mil was bid, then i'd bite there hand off. Lescott LB, Jag droppin in and Nuno covering. Thats the ideal world, cos no team should need 3 L/back. problem is that we have no first team.

you may be right, nuno showed some aggression against a team that had clearly been told to get stuck in.

baines gave the ball away too many times in our third and that is usally where we build our attack.

lets cash in and spend the money on a new state of the art website where we can bitch and moan some more about how we don't know how to spend efc money.

Baines looked decent at left back, didn't lose the ball and was actually running forward with it and trying to get forward. He did nothing wrong and wasn't one of our worst players at all. At left midfield he was lost but he worked hard and tried to do a job in a position that he's only played once in his entire career.

Nuno was solid aswell, one of our best players today.

Baines gave the ball away alot? No he didn't. He didn't see the ball enough but when he got it he used it well.

i recall him giving it away twice in the last 15mins. i could be wrong. the point is that baines/nuno/lescott is something that needs addressing and if we can get 6m for baines then happy bday efc

Baines should have had a goal assist, great cross he put in for the yak, if it was arteta it would be talked up, but it was baines so it gets ignored.

you could be right but arteta does not have to prove himself.

The Yak should have had that one.
I agree, also Jags cross to Baxter near the end on his left was a touch of class.

Baines was so bad at Wigan I think they voted him player of the season or something.

It's not fair to judge his performance during the first half an hour because he was played out of position. He did ok once he was switched back to LB. Valente was just as bad in the midfield, but he was shocking at LB. Out of these two I know which one played better.

And Baines was better than Neville, that's for sure. So two players HB wanted to rather keep as cover to LB were much worse today.

Niklas Alexanderrson was player of the season for Sheff Wed when we bought him, it doesnt prove anything other than there respective clubs fans are clueless

How did he look decent TB? Lost ball on countless occasions and was clueless in midfield, so much so Valente had to play there

About the only decent thing he did all game...Whoopee!

he was probably second to neville for number of misplaced passes

Well said, Jags was pretty close as well though(y)

Alexandersson was actually good at Sheff Wed. I bet most Evertonians were delighted when he was signed. He just didn't do it with us.

Comical memory lane moment - when he was subbed in one of the first few games of Moyes in charge and he storms past Moyes with a gob on him. Moyes got up and went to the back of the dugout and gave him the hairdryer treatment...last game Alexandersson played for us.
