Bad ref decisions - for and against - season 2025/26

If people are stupid enough to post garbage on social media which is directly linked to them, then its a nice and easy shut case to get a prosecution.

Play a stupid game then don't be surprised to win a stupid prize.
Hmm people get arrested for criticising politicians etc which in a democracy should be fine to do so. Anyway the point is you're not getting arrested for gently slapping someone so unless you have numerous examples of this happening you're just dealing in hyperbole

Seriously, who has been arrested for criticising an MP?

Have you got numerous examples of this happening?

There's instances of arrests being made for criticising politicians and their policies especially when it comes to illegal immigration. If you research it you'll find these things happening. I've never read a report of someone being arrested for gently slapping someone though but I'm sure there's probably an isolated incident somewhere

So you can't find one example for me then.

No-one will be arrested for criticism, I'm guessing something stronger.

You'd be surprised Moomin. Some or the things I've read have made me think differently about how democratic this country truly is. I don't have to find you examples because you're the one who made the absurd comment that gently slapping someone would get you arrested

The amount of United fans online saying it was a stonewall red is laughable. They’re honestly as bad as that lot across the park at times.

Need reminding that if it wasn’t for consistent s**t VAR decisions in their favour, they’d have been bottom half in previous seasons, and in a relegation scrap last season.

If it was done on an opponent no one would be complaining about the red card. We would be calling him an idiot for raising his hand to an opponent.

It's classed as violent conduct, would we be ok for kids on the same team to be slapping each other for mistakes?
Sorry, got to disagree with you on that one. We're not talking about kids, we're talking about two experienced internationals and team mates for the best part of a decade whose minor disagreement was escalated by an overly officious jobsworth.

And if we're going to start refereeing PL games in the same manner as kids matches. We'll be lucky if any of them get to half time.

Are we now going to start worrying about Pickfords exuberant celebrations turning him into a walking red card because he can get a bit too physical?

There was nothing violent about what transpired last night.

Couldn't tell you. Maybe none, maybe a hundred. It was the sort of nondescript incident that usually doesn't live long in the memory, last night aside, for obvious reasons.

Most outlets had to go back 20 years to come up with a list of 5 or 6.

The team seems ready to move on, so be it. But to act like this is a normal occurrence in a match is flat wrong.

I've not said gently slapping someone, stop back tracking.

Slapping someone can be classed as assault.

Now, who has been arrested for criticising MP's. Name one person please or a link to this report.

How are celebrations physical???

If someone slapped your mum / sister like that would you be fine with it?
