We aren't though. Not to him. He has a great offer from us I suppose - so he is just seeing if anything better comes along. Can't blame him.

I'm not sure he is looking for a better offer, just in his mind, a bigger club. At the end if his desperate search comes to nothing then he will come crawling to Everton saying how he always dreamt of joining us. We don't need to be dealing with people like that.

I reckon we've gave him a deadline and his agent is using up until then to try and find a more lucrative deal. Which is fair enough IMO

But surely there is a time when we say enough is enough. Our offer has been on the table for a good while now and I can see your point about seeing if a better offer came along, but he's showing s lack of respect to Everton at present. And as already been mentioned his actions haven't exactly won over out fanbase should he sign.

I agree with that, after all we are a club that has finished 11th two seasons running and attracting the first wave of bigger name players will not be easy, but we must still aim to protect our integrity at the same time.

Said that last week and he's still dragging his feet about signing for us. It's plainly obvious zenit want the deal to go ahead, but not witsel.

He clearly isn't committed to Everton. I'd much rather have someone excited to be here instead of a player using us as a last resort.
