I'm one of the Amber, Blue, Amber brigade too and I'd keep it that way every season. For me, that's almost as traditional as our Blue, White, White.
The third kit doesn't interest me in the slightest and should be offered only to those with more money than sense.

If we stick with royal blue and white for 1st kit
And go for Amber Blue Amber for the second then a third kit could be used as a chance to be a bit more expressive, commemorating kits of yesteryear like black watch, salmon/blue, pink, white with yellow hoops, green etc.. only the rich need them....
