I honestly think we just need to win one to break the hoodoo. There’s been countless times we were close but just evertoned if right at the death. The Pienaar chip at the emirates and then Rosicky equalising off a Lucas Neill deflection in the last minute was cruel. As was Howard bowling Kuyt over when he was heading out of play when we had the win at Anfield, John Terry scoring in the 100th minute at Stamford Bridge under Martinez, the penalty at Old Trafford in 95th minute in Koeman’s first season. Our performances merit the same ratio of wins at these grounds that other teams get but our mentality stops us from getting them. Other teams think ‘free swing, what a bonus win to get’, our players tthink ‘OMFG we’re 2 minutes away from beating x club at their home ground, this shouldn’t be happening, oh no I can’t breathe, crap I’ve given a pen away, that feels better, a nice solid draw’

Losing to liverpool 1-0 in 2010 was the worst one. there CB got sent off in the 33rd minute and we still lost 1-0 to a kuyt header. On Paper we had the stronger team aswell

Yeah some decent points. I think its described as 'everton that'

We are in a better position now then previous seasons to try break that (i would chuck spurs and city in there too).
A quality forward would help 10 fold but nothing we can do about that till january, so we just need to get behind them as much as we can

Its a mentality thing that desperately needs sorting out.

why does it need sorting out? we pick up enough points from the dross teams to always roughly finish top half, as our longest-serving Prem captain once said: that's already a fantastic achievement for a club of our lowly stature. we'll continue to pull in the tv money, goodison will always sell enough tickets (nothing will be the same) and we won't get relegated.
