Haha
I went to School within spitting distance of the Reebok. It ALWAYS rains in Horwich.

I'll buy you a beer in the Beehive or the Barnstormers if you make it. Sadly I think the Bromilows is no more.

Going to try and get to this one if we get a good allocation and if it goes to general sale.

Standing make a great atmosphere ! ! ! Everybody in Gwladys stand-up all the time and sing the song that`s the way ! Songs, jumps and claps all the time ! CHEERSSSSS !

People can sing sat down, it doesn't really make a difference.

I'd prefer it if everyone sang more THOUGH, especially at home when we are a bit quiet the vast majority of the time, the night games at Goodison against the bigger teams are usually very loud and we hardly ever seem to lose.

HAHA sing when u are sit down ? 1 word FUNNY :)

General rule of thumb, the further the away game, the more likely people will stand up. More ardent fans will travel, the ST holders and sometimes dubbed 'day trippers/whoopers' can't usually be arsed to go further than your wigans boltons blackburns etc... and those that don't get to the games as much in the local areas are more likely to want to get proper into it as it's probably one of their 5 games a season (me included). Just how I view it. If someone asks me to sit down I'll sit down, I prefer standing, better atmosphere I feel, plus I'm up and down like a ****ing jack in the box if I'm sat down and we're attacking in waves!

Would of loved to have been around when standing was about just to sample it, did so at Brentford a couple of years back now, but unfortunately that wasn't the best of nights.

This. We always stand at London games. Except Arsenal like because the stewards are bell ends.

Hi folks, this is my first post and I want to say that I've been planning to register here for quite some time now.

I've ran the Twitter account @EvertonAways since the beginning of the season to try and encourage our fans to stand up at the away games to enhance the atmosphere.

We'd love to know that despite travelling up and down the country in our thousands, why we only stand up and create an atmosphere at some grounds. Despite our efforts, this season has been no different. I'll break it down for you....

Villa Park - A good chunk of the lower stood all game and it was a decent atmosphere, plenty of songs.
The Hawthorns - All sat. One of the worst away games I can remember.
Liberty Stadium - Majority sat. Stood last 15-20 and ancient, ancient songs were sung. Beautiful...
Elland Road - 5000 Evertonians all stood. Despite a dismal performance, atmosphere was enjoyable throughout.
DW - Unsurprisingly, everyone sat down.
Loftus Road - Half of the lower stood up all game thanks to one piss-head calling us all 'miserable bastards'.
Craven Cottage - We stood the whole 2nd half. That game had 'Everton' about it for some reason.
The Madejski - The less said, the better. Awful away. All sat, obviously.
The Etihad - City has been our best away for years now. Everyone in the lower stood, proper loud at times.
The Britannia - Everyone sat. Period of noise after we scored until everyone fell like dominoes..
Upton Park - Everyone stood. Again, a proper Everton away.
St James' Park - About half stood. One of my best trips there.

Next up, Southampton away on Monday. I've a good feeling about that you know. The list above just shows you all that our away support is either a hit or a miss.

I know it isn't for everyone but ask yourself this - In the last year, what's been your favorite Everton away?
I can guarantee that most would say one where our fans stood. As I say, some people don't really care if we stand but I know it definitely makes it more enjoyable.

Goodison has been quiet for years but we'd love to make away games how they should be, ALL of the time.

Put it like this; Readings, QPR's and Wigans aside, we are the only set of away fans that sit down at most of the away games. I don't enjoy being laughed at by the Stoke's, Southampton's and the Norwich's if I'm being honest.

Who prefers to stand up at an away?

Lads, this is our best team in years. COYB.

Welcome to GOT

end of the day it creates a better atmosphere, as shown at city and west ham where i was standing all game

It's the other way round mate. The players are up for it, we're right in the game, the crowd will be buzzing. You can't manufacture an atmosphere by shouting at people to stand up.

This issue came home to me at Stoke away.

My seat was only about 5 or 6 rows from the front in the corner. The view was pretty poor unless you stood up so the rows in front of me did and I did too along with the fans either side of me. It was all fine until I turned round and seen a dad with his son of say 6 or 7 years old crying and moaning that he couldn't see a thing.

The dad was obviously caught between what he wants to do for his son but at the same time he doesn't want to have a go at about 50 fellow Blues when he'd probably rather stand himself anyway.

Me sitting down alone was pointless and the stewards were useless until a different steward rocked up and spoke to the dad. The next thing the kid was taken down to the pitchside and sat next to the steward for the match.

With kids getting to the age I'll start taking them to the match soon and my old man getting frailer I can see myself in this position in a few years.

Any given area just has to be either all sitting or all standing.
