Took the missus to see it the other night in 3D. As a visual experience it is fantastic but you're not going to be blown away with the depth of the plot or characters. Still well worth spending your money especially on a cheap screening night.

Fck me, it's Cameron, not Kubrick. You know what to expect. If you liked any of his stuff before, then you will not be disappointed with Avatar.
