Also worth pointing out that as bad as we were, Villa were good. They've got their limitations obviously but as a team they did everything asked of them. Their fans were brilliant too and madeit exactly the kind of night I knew our players would struggle to cope with. Proper club who are back where they belong.

Villa looked like a team. We most certainly did not.

What can I say about that last night?
Simply that it was a game that we ought to have won if we are to prove we are on the up. Now we are played three, four points on the board and a negative goal difference. Big opportunity missed and that's what's peed me off good style.

True about the midfield. I kept thinking last night that even Besic at his best would be an improvement ,at least he ran around a lot and looked forward. I'm sorry to say I think we've lost Gomes, his heads gone. We will, must get better but how much better I'm not sure. And I don't blame Silva...last night was entirely down to the players. A good opening 20 minutes, then Villa scored, and we lost it from that moment. Encouraging signs from Iwogi and Kean,at least they tried. I hope Lincoln is not a banana skin. We don't seem to be able to cope with teams that are prepared to fight, even if they have less quality than us.

Lincoln will be anything but comfortable. Especially if we make changes. Really not looking forward to it.

Had a poor game? Most certainly my son.
But let's not go overboard.
God bless.

Beware. Its what happened at Barca. If its not going well for him he goes into a deep depression and becomes a liability. Hence 20 million and not 40 million. Depression as we know is a serious matter and I have sympathy with him, but Silva will know the problem and has to find a way to get Gomes out of his mood. As someone said above...maybe its why Doucoure was wanted? Play last night back and look at Gomes demeanour. Tells you a lot.
btw...Its a long time(about 70 years) since I've been called 'my son' Cheers!;);)

What did you all think of Wesley? Thought he was strong, could do well at villa.

We gave him a free shot for his goal. People might blame Keane but Gomes started the mess by just stopping playing instead of tracking back. Wesley is OK, might get 12 goals if Villa keep playing well enough. Its a long season.

Perhaps I don't look in as fine a detail as your good self. I saw a good player getting frustrated when having a poor match, his passes were going astray and you could see it was annoying him.
But, he never hid and kept showing for the ball, Gomes will be just fine.

A man's gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.

God bless.

I just hate myself for thinking that we really are one of the premier leauge giants... This loss wouldn't hurt that much if I was excepting 7th place, not top 6... So, from now on, top 7, lets goo!

Frank stay out of this you have no football knowledge in your noggin
You've got me all wrong. Most of my shouts are bang on.

Time will tell... Dcl won't last much longer here nor will the manager after displays like last night.

Both, simply not up to standard
