If he'd come to Everton and given Moyes the money he gave to that idiot O'Neill we would be in the CL.

Darren Bent £24M 6 months ago. Everton sell Pienaar.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.
''Given' Moyes the money ?
You mean had he have lent Everton the money at an extortionate interest rate,(as he has at villa)then we would be in the same financial crisis as Aston Villa.
Yes he's doing a fine job Lerner, just ask your average Villa fan.

He just won't accept LERNER HAS NOT "GIVEN" THE MONEY to Villa.

He's LOANED IT to them.

And they bought the likes of Reo Coker for £8.5 million! FFS. Only to release him for nothing now. FFS.

Not only that but all that cash and there grounds not exactly turned amazing has it? FFS

There's uproar on other forums about the sale of james vaughan for £2.5 million.
Yet Villa are offloading 10 players for nothing, with others demanding transfers.Villa are a club in crisis due in no small part to the business dealings of Randy Lerner.
Yet we still have clowns convinced he would have put Everton back amongst the european elite.
Wake up smell the coffee, Lerners business plan is failing fast.(n)

Excellent post.

FFS!!

Joking aside, What you say makes sense.

What abou if we FORGET about selling Everton FC.

If we can't get rid of Kenwright, why don't we get someone to give him loads of money? Or what if he puts on a mega success show?

How about a musical based on an internet forum, we have a fantastic range of characters;
GOT, Chico, Matt etc (insert your own name here if your ego is bruised)
Of course Halewoodblue is the evil villain who is banished to Mantua partway through

I will narrate, being as I am 'Desaparecido'

It will end with this post.

(Anyone ever seen Adaptation/Curb Your Enthusiasm finale? lol )

Don't know about Lerner, but I am aware that the Chelsea owner has done similar. He gave Chelsea £500m, this was then turned into a loan. The shares are with a separate company, who is owned by...yes, you guessed it. If Chelsea goes under, he'll want all his dough back.

i think i will make my mind up on villa when the window shuts!

could be in chrisis!!

or could have just fooked the trouble makers out and buy 10 more better players!! as in jan everyone was saying the same then the bent deal happend!!

Why is this in the everton forum?

Anyone. Looks like Ashley Young has signed for UTD.

A lot of presumptions here for a club you guys dont know much. About. Yes we have a big wage bill (well. Soon to be much reduced) yes we have a lot of debt.

But whoever said 'ask your average villa fan' i assure you you will be hard pressed to find a Villa fan who doesnt like randy. There is no extortiante interest rates on his loans. He gave too much control to o'neil and weve suffered because of that.

On the 10 players. Reo-Coker wasnt released to trim the wage bill. He was on a fair amount for a player of his abilities and was offered a 10k payrise (40k). He said no to this as he was being offered CL and Europa football abroad. (god knows how). To stay at us he wanted a massive pay rise and basically priced himself out of a new contract. Word is most of this is his agents fault. So a lot of clubs talking about NRC simply wont get him unless he reduces his ridiculous wage demands.

Carew has not been good enough for a long while and was a complete bell end before January towards the club. Again. If a player is not good enough they will leave.

Pires and Salifou were never good enough for the first team but we will miss Salifou. :p.

The others were kids. So nothing to do with wages etc. Just deemed not good enough. Except maybe Harry Forrester. Who isnt good enough but supposedly has had an offee from Ajax.

Young has been nailed on to leave for a long time. Downing is likely been swayed by his agent. He changed his mind literally 2 days after young decided to go to utd. Downing has same agent as gerrard and carragher. But probably wont leave this year and is lilely edging for a new contract.

Friedel has been good and will also be going to Spurs. I understand that. Id have liked us to keep him but hes getting on a bit and we need a younger keeper to come in and shape the new defence.

It would be nice. If eveey time villa is brought up on this forum to not have Damon think he is Randys personal accountant as it geta a bit tiring. We have debt. Randy will want it some day. The interest rates are not extortianate. We will still have money to spend but we have had to reduce the wage bill. Randy made a big mistake givingMoN everything he wanted.

Fully believe we would a) have got into the CL and b) be in much less debt if we had got a better manager in before MON. For instance. Moyes would have had us there by now in a much healthier financial state.

Should be signjng around 10 players over the summer. 7 first team and 3 kids.

Houllier is leaving tomorrow along with GMac.

Reo-coker as a squad player would be good business for a free. Starting 11? no thanks

I'd agree with everything Shoody said, seems Mr Damon is speaking about something he doesn't have a clue about again...

For what its worth, I think only Reo-Coker would be good enough for you and his wage demands are likely to be in the 60k range meaning you wouldn't be able to sign him. Although Salifou is the Togolese Zidane if you didn't know ;)

Bet all the Chelsea fans are queuing up to swap owners with us like.

Yes there is interest paid on the loans as i stated, believe it to be about 6% given current interest rates that's extortionate.
No mention of lerners administration fees paid annually.
Every player leaving is either ****e, too old, wanted too much money, or was leaving anyway.
Yet good enough for other prem clubs. ?
Yes it's all too easy to blame MON now that he's gone.
The blame for this Villa shambles is Randy Lerner. Period.
Wake up and smell the coffee mate.
All's not as rosy at Villa as you think.

Ah i was keeping that one at least untill the end of June, 7 mill wow just wow! On top of the 4.5mill interest on the loans hes given them. So hes taking 11.5 mill out of the club a year, which is 15% of their turnover.

So Randy walks away annually with 15% of whatever Villa make.

You never know though he could be just restructuring his buissness plan
