We are in big trouble. We need to level off 40m with FFP, 4.2m tax bill which we can't pay, huge wage bill, our only real asset being Grealish. Our owner, Dr Tony Xia was depending on our promotion within 2 seasons for him and the club to benefit. That's not happened, and it's just gone from bad to worse. He wants out, and it seems the guy is a fraud. Big crisis, which a small minority saw coming.

I've never understood fans of other clubs wanting other clubs to go under.

I don't want Villa to go under, would be a real shame to see one of the league founders collapse completely, certainly when they have dined at the top table so recently

Have absolutely no trouble at all with them tumbling to league 2 though.

There are a lot of ifs, and buts at the moment. What is sure is the seriousness of the situation. It seems it was promotion or bust. If we starting selling players off, which is a big possibility that alone will put us on the brink of league 1. Talk of liquidation, points deductions etc doesn't bare thinking about. Some apparent ITKs are saying this is far more serious than some fans think. Not good, but the club will carry on.

Good luck Villa, a great club with history. Just can't stand Steve Bruce.

Is he a fraud or is it just cus he cant get his money out of china. Hopefully it gets sorted as i think personally the league is better with teams like villa in it.

All I know is we had to sell the Sanchez and Amavi contracts to an Australian bank in February. The remaining money that's owed for those players got sold to that bank so we could get instant cash. We are losing 5-6m a month.

Unfortunately you've gone full Sunderland...

I only dislike Villa when we're playing against you.. otherwise you're a great club and I hope you manage to weather the storm. You're the second longest running club in top flight football (after ourselves of course!) and you need to be back in the Premier League. Good luck - but reading the Mirror article this morning.. goodness it sounds grim. :(

Have to wonder how many teams are a matter of a couple of seasons away from serious financial trouble, spending shedloads to reach the PL,then another kings ransom to cling on,though never competing for anything, cups ignored in favour of picking up points,it makes you think why bother
