….its more about Dibling being a ball watcher and Patterson struggling to mark his winger.

A few years ago we played at Leeds and McNeil played ahead of Patterson and they defended really well as a pair. We got a well earned draw that night, maybe Patterson’s best game for us.

That was the old McNeill. This model is terrible.

On this occasion I don't mind McNeil over Dibling. McNeil will get back more and he may not have the pace but I think defensively he offers more than Dibling

McNeil used to be pretty decent helping out a left back
However
With Grealish having to play left he’s been absolutely useless going forward and defending on the right
That being said, it’s our best option right now without Ndiaye… come back soon and ready to play Leeds Ily

I got Watkins as captain in my fantasy team this week, Cash in defence too. If we lose, I at least hope these two are key players for Villa. Could do with the points.

And we rock up with this paper thin squad missing virtually all of our best outfield players.
