I was actually watching this on Saturday.
When Sunderland passed through midfield they always had 2 or even 3 players as high up the pitch as their forward.

When we had possession in midfield Dibling was doing nothing, Rohl didn't know what to do and McNeil was just McNeil.
We leave our striker so isolated it is almost untrue. Add our wide players slowing the game down as well and the lack of quality in both our strikers and we stand no chance.
No one on our team has a clue what is around them. We loose the ball cheaply
and pass sloppily due this lack of awareness.

I sit each of them in a swivel chair in the middle of the gym, spin it (*gently !) clockwise and anticlockwise randomly for two minutes, and see if they can name those around them and who enters and who leaves.

In a team where Onana starts, Grealish definitely gets a game.
Thats a bit like saying Pickford gets in over Konsa....two different animals. Onana has been very decent for us this season, when available. It was only after Arsenal kicked him off the pitch the other week, that their midfield got the best of us in the second half. As for Grealish, we'll always have our memories of him and he's a great lad, but unlikely to suit an Emery team as he doesn't do enough without the ball, for our set-up. Still love him though 😎....

Just throwing this out. Would Grealish get in the Villa starting 11 right now.
Just Curious to know the opinion of that. Nothing more.
He shouldn't even be in ours
Yesterday's Man...and a very expensive one at that - for God sake don't sign him full time.
And in a very slow at the best of times Team, do we really need somebody slowing it down more.

Not holding out much hope for this game. I know Dibling wasn't great vs Sunderland but I really don't want to see McNeil in the starting line up. Hopefully less pressure away from home. Really could do with some good news regarding Timmy's fitness so I'm assuming he's back in. More minutes for Aznou hopefully. UTFT
