He 100% is a domestic terrorist. This is obviously politically motivated and the odds are he's a right wing nut who was probably trying to get to AOC, Pelosi etc.

I agree, it just seems that they lower the bar and make it less of a crime, than say if a muslim looking guy was to commit the same offense.

It wasnt me making it a race thing. We saw with the last guy who killed 8 Asian people, the sheriff said he had a bad day

If that was a brown skinned person, especially one with a Arabic sounding name they wouldnt be given the same benefit of the doubt.

How they are already saying this wasnt terrorism is beyond me and straight away makes me think he's white. He attacked the Capitol building so the definition is terrorism

It’s more the general reaction though. The problem is when an attack is done by a Arabic or foreign person it’s generally called terrorism and is used by governments to further various agendas. When it’s done by a white guy its often called just a rogue, single person or group but both are attacks on people or institutions, influenced by a larger ideology. So terrorism basically

Fair. He is, and he would still be no matter what color his skin is. I’m just a little frustrated with our climate. This week a 9 year old boy was shot in California and people spent no time talking about it whereas the stupid statement by a cop in Atlanta about a “bad day” still gets brought up.

Fair. I’m probably conflating our entire climate rather than focusing on the specifics of this unique situation. That’s my mistake.

Oh I fully agree, watching from over here its absolutely insane, but it just seems to be an acceptance in America that people (even kids) get shot, including by the Police and it barely registers. If there was an incident wherby a police officer over here killed someone with a gun, its headline news and there is a massive review. There would be outcry if they killed a kid.

Until your country changes its outlook on guns, passes some guns laws or changes the whole policing system, I cant see that ever changing which is horrifying

Not sure that guy in Atlanta counts as a domestic terrorist, he was a sex addict who targeted sex businesses. There were Asian workers like but hes clearly a messed up individual. It's hard to say that he was specifically targeting Asians.

Go look up what domestic terrorism means.

It's not about race.

Be they white, Asian, Arab or whatever else this could be and should be classed as domestic terrorism.

OMG. That’s not the way it’s meant to work in here! We stick to our guns even when it’s increasingly obvious we may not be correct or even have a clue what we’re talking about.
Delete that post and call me a whopper and offer me a fight outside of Walmart to restore the balance please.

Hmm or the Kung Flu (coronavirus) angle thats being pushed by Trump and his cult have gotten into the minds of the cult members.

We saw video footage of an elderley Asian woman get attacked in broad daylight Manhatten the other day and crimes against Asians has flown up.

Maybe it was a sex addiction thing but that narrative was pushed out a bit too quuckly
 
Republicans had been complaining non stop about the security fence because according to them there was no danger to Capitol Hill and it was just Democrats trying to instill fear. Now another office is death just as the fence was removed last week.
