Why sell? Second choice keepers for teams without European football are essentially auxiliary coaching assistants . Begovic (and Lonergan, to an extent) is the perfect fit for the role because of his experience and personality. Pickford's improvement since he arrived has been noticeable.

He's also played on when he's been called upon, so why bother selling for the pittance we'd receive?

fully agree . for me the second choice keeper needs to be experienced. Begovic fits the role perfectly. 3rd choice can be young and inexperienced and the one with potential
