Wasn’t that long ago lids on here were calling for him to be number 1 so I don’t see how he’s suddenly not good enough to be number 2 for us. We were spoilt with Olsen though, brilliant number 2 keeper.

That was about 5 years ago, players can get worse in that span of time.

Prior to Olsen, we’ve had poor number 2s for a long time (maybe ever?) in my opinion, and it has showed at times.

He might be a touch past his best but having a solid, decent number 2 with Premier League experience should keep Pickford on his toes as it did last season when he was ‘rested’.

Unless he’s absolutely finished, I don’t know, it’s a good move, in my opinion.

Would have preferred Olsen or Romero but not the worst. Right back a winger atheltic central midfielder and a back up to dom are more important imo (unless Kean stays)

He's a back up goalkeeper it's not supposed to be exciting. The 2 year deal isn't a problem IF he's on a cheaper wage than anyone else we could bring in who are similarly experienced.

If we are lucky he doesn't play a game.

Horrible for Bournemouth in 18/19 but supposedly good last season apart from those bizarre antics in the playoff final. Still wish we'd look beyond "prem proven" even if he's only a backup keeper

The most errors of any keeper in the last 6 years directly leading to goals in the Premier league. And he didn't play in at least one of those seasons. Let's pray he doesn't need to step in.
