He's a bit of an unknown really. We can speculate (what the forum is for) but I think we can only go with if the coaches have determined he is not adequete.

Or they're sending him on loan for a season to play.

Not fussed about this, can’t be spending heaps on a backup keeper. Probably a downgrade on Olsen, but hopefully we don’t need to rely on him.

But I’d really prefer this isn’t our first signing and the fist signing of Rafael’s reign.

Happy with this me. More than capable keeper, happy to be back up and push Pickford, no transfer fee and no long term contract. One important area sorted and funds can be concentrated on even more important areas.

Good bit of business, was in the Championship team of the season last year and has plenty of Premier League experience.

I liked Olsen and wanted him back but after a good Euros like he had he's surely got better offers on the table, good luck to the fella because he was such a pro and went through something traumatic. Really hope he and the family settle somewhere and have a nice life.

Get Virginia another loan, he showed enough in those few games last season to merit a clean slate after that bad loan to Reading. We've now got 3 goalies at the right ages, one in his late-20s, one in mid-30s and one in early-20s. Good stuff.

Need 3 keepers and now we have 3 keepers. He wouldn't have been my choice but to get a top quality keeper to come as back up would have been very difficult. Hopefully we don't need him too often and in 2 years we should definitely know if Virginia is the required quality.
