I have to say: I do see the rationality for such a signing if it happens. Leave the age issue out and it is a sensible signing given our options at both FB positions in terms of quality and experience.

Like most on here, I was shocked this morning waking up to this. But as someone said, we need cover at left back. What little money we have needs to go on forwards. Last season we signed the former Wolves lad who never played. Young was still doing a job for Villa. He's obviously looked after himself to last this long, so I'm thinking a good pro? Apart from Seamus and Tark we don't have a lot of that type of role model in the squad. Who knows he may have a limited coaching role like the reserve goalkeeper.

It's not something I'm happy about, but it's were we are. As long as he can get up and down the pitch and play well. I don't care how old he is. Who knows he might be another Paul Power for fans of a certain age like me.

This is why we need you in charge mate, you know the score. Sort put the bozos, punks, fifa scouts and the like.

Give us your signing strategy for Dyche taking into account our financial position, state of the market and Dyche’s tactical preference. Treat this as interview prep for when Thelwell is sacked. Chance to win over the doubters.

So you supported an awful manager who was relegating us solely because FB92 wasn't? Do you not realise how odd that makes you sound kid ?

I would rather be laughed at than be besotted with another male. I have a huge following on twitter and there are a few followers of mine who like you once loved what I would have to say... but after I said something that they didn't like they became obsessive, stalking me around the twittersphere, trying to trip me up at any given opportunity to make some kind of point.

You need to get out of this repetitive loop that you're in and accept that FB92 isn't just here for you / to validate your opinions on football/life. Its why I stuck you on egnore to try help you with that process but it just doesn't seem to work.

Back to Ashley Young - actually agree with @davek here in many ways. The big question is his age. But I get the impression he's a good pro who has looked after himself.
